Biography

Dominic’s practice focuses on civil litigation in state and federal courts. He has experience in all stages of litigation, including strategy, case management, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, trial, post-judgment enforcement proceedings, and appeals. Dominic has represented defendants and plaintiffs in high-profile disputes, including business litigation, employment matters, product liability, healthcare litigation, and trust and estates litigation.

Dominic earned his J.D. from USC Gould School of Law. During law school, Dominic served on the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice law journal staff and was also a Mediation Clinic member. Dominic earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles. While there, he studied for a semester in Rome, Italy.

Before joining Miller Barondess, Dominic practiced in the Los Angeles office of a large international law firm in its Trial and Global Disputes practice group. Dominic also practiced as a probate litigator at a trust and estates boutique in Los Angeles.

Notable Representations
  • Represented CriticalPoint Partners in claims against former employees and their new companies relating to the theft of confidential information.
  • Represented developer Atlas Capital Group against the Los Angeles Times in a dispute over the lease termination at the printing press building in downtown LA.
  • Defended the County of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in lawsuits relating to claims of retaliation, discrimination, and hostile work environment caused by deputy “subgroups,” including the Banditos.  Won summary adjudication as to several claims.
  • Defended Fortune 100 company in high-profile product liability suits.
  • Represented large healthcare providers in managed care reimbursement disputes.
  • Court-appointed attorney in dependency matters pending before the California Court of Appeal, as a member of the California Appellate Project of Los Angeles (“CAP-LA”).
