Steven is a complex commercial litigator with experience in trial and appellate courts at the state and federal levels. A skilled writer and strategist, his combination of experience enables him to take a wide view of disputes, with an eye toward winning results in the trial court and defending them on appeal. For defendants, Steven has prevailed at every stage of litigation, including complex dispositive motions, motions to compel arbitration, and on appeal. For plaintiffs, he has obtained injunctive relief and helped secure a high eight-figure settlement even before a lawsuit was filed.
Steven’s clients have included technology and energy companies, leading international retailers, private equity firms, construction owners and contractors, and National Football League entities. He has experience in complex business disputes, mass torts, trade secret and non-compete, environmental, product liability, regulatory, and construction matters.
A New Jersey native, Steven received his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law—Camden, where he graduated magna cum laude and was Editor in Chief of the school’s law review. He also received his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Brian S. Miller, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, as well as the Honorable Rhesa H. Barksdale, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Prior to joining Miller Barondess, LLP, Steven was a counsel and a senior associate at two large international law firms. He is licensed to practice in California and Texas.
