Biography

Kelly Delvac is a litigation and appellate associate representing individuals and entities in a wide range of matters.

Prior to joining Miller Barondess, Kelly clerked for the Honorable Margo A. Rocconi, Magistrate Judge, U.S. Central District of California.  She also worked for the California Supreme Court as a staff attorney in the habeas unit of the criminal division.

Kelly was born and raised in Michigan, but lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, on a cruise ship, and Dallas, before settling down in Los Angeles.  She received her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where she graduated cum laude.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Thomas Edison State University.

In law school, Kelly served as an Associate Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review, was a research assistant for the National Exoneration Registry, and won the Pepperdine Award for Outstanding Graduate.  In addition, she participated in Pepperdine’s Ninth Circuit Appellate Advocacy Clinic where she briefed, argued, and won relief in a prisoner civil rights case.  She also worked as a certified law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Conviction Integrity Unit, where she assisted prosecutors in investigating and ultimately overturning the convictions of two wrongfully convicted individuals.

Prior to law school, Kelly was a circus performer specializing in globe walking as well as aerial rope and silks.
