David is a trial attorney whose practice focuses on media, technology, entertainment and environmental litigation. Throughout his career, David has represented numerous prominent businesses and individuals, including Smokey Robinson, Nile Rodgers, Mötley Crüe, Allen Media Group, Entertainment Studios, The Weather Channel, Callaway Golf, PGA Tour and NBA players, music managers, record labels and music publishers. David also has substantial trial, appellate and arbitration experience, having secured victories for clients in the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and state and federal trial courts throughout California. He has recovered over $150 million for clients in settlements and verdicts.
David’s recent victories include securing an arbitration award which voided restrictive covenants and allowed former employees of a multi-billion dollar investment company to form a competing business, obtaining a $3 million settlement on the eve of trial in a police shooting case, securing a precedent-setting Ninth Circuit decision on First Amendment and federal civil rights issues, obtaining a $2.5 million jury verdict and a $1.8 million award of attorneys’ fees in a case involving an aircraft ground collision, successfully defending a private equity and real estate company against arbitration claims of over $20 million, and securing a favorable settlement for a venture capital firm against corporate officers for fraud and breach of fiduciary duty as a result of their mismanagement of a bio-tech firm that is working on cutting-edge cancer diagnostic technology.

David received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. David received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University in 2006. Before starting his law practice, David played professional lacrosse for the Philadelphia Barrage in the MLL.
