Biography

Kathryn (Kate) Kafka is a litigation associate admitted to practice in California. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law, where she served as a legal intern with the USC Gould Immigration Clinic, was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program, and worked as a research assistant to Professor Abby Wood, focusing on election law and campaign finance. Kate also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Stephen V. Wilson in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Kate graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in English and minors in classical languages, honors, and criminology.

Before joining Miller Barondess, Kate practiced in the San Francisco office of a leading commercial law firm, where she specialized in real estate litigation and land use disputes.

Kate is actively involved in the legal and local community, serving on the Executive Committee of the Environmental, Land Use, and Real Estate Section of the San Francisco Barristers Club and volunteering as a mentor for high school and middle school students in the San Francisco Unified School District.
