Skip Miller is litigation counsel for governmental entities, private and public corporations, and individuals. In 2018-20, he represented the City of Inglewood and Mayor James Butts in litigation to bring the new L.A. Clippers arena to the City of Inglewood. Since 2020, Skip has represented the County of Los Angeles in federal court as part of a massive lawsuit brought by L.A. Alliance against governmental agencies regarding homelessness. In 2018, Skip obtained a $119.5 million settlement on behalf of L.A. County against SoCalGas stemming from the Aliso Canyon gas leak, the largest natural gas leak—over 100 million metric tons—in our country’s history. He is currently representing the trustee of the Woodbridge Liquidation Trust in a lawsuit brought against multiple law firms and attorneys alleging they aided and abetted the now bankrupt real estate investment firm Woodbridge Group in a $1.3 billion Ponzi scheme. And he is currently representing a major financial institution in a $300 million dollar fraud case in Delaware. Skip’s entertainment industry clients have included Lionel Richie, Paula Abdul, Rod Stewart, Elton John, the Tupac Shakur Estate, rock bands Journey and Mötley Crüe, and film and television studios and producers. He also represents financial institutions, private equity funds, commercial banks, and real estate developers and funds.
Mira Hashmall is an accomplished trial lawyer with a record of success in federal and state courts, and in arbitration. She represents clients at every stage of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling to appellate proceedings, and has achieved Top Verdict recognition on both the plaintiff and defense side. Mira defends private and public employers in high-stakes litigation involving claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, wrongful termination, disability discrimination and accommodation, and family and medical leave rights. She has a sophisticated appellate practice and is a Certified Specialist in Appellate Law, The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. In 2022, Mira succeeded in the California Court of Appeal in reversing an $8.1 million jury verdict in a case involving harassment and retaliation claims. Her federal appellate experience includes First Amendment, defamation and libel claims, insurance coverage issues, and employment disputes. She has handled appeals involving real estate developments, contract disputes, whistle-blower actions, and malicious prosecution claims. Mira also represents parties in complex business litigation and has extensive experience in anti-SLAPP litigation, both at the trial court and appellate levels.
