Skip Miller Named One of The Most Influential People in Los Angeles 2026

For the ninth consecutive year, Skip Miller has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s LA500 list (login required) of The Most Influential People in Los Angeles.

More than 50 years into his career, Miller shows no signs of slowing down. At Miller Barondess, which he co-founded in 2006, he is currently representing the City of Inglewood in high-stakes litigation against the owners of SoFi Stadium, Intuit Dome, and The Forum over control of the city’s lucrative digital advertising rights, having successfully defeated all emergency injunctions in a case involving hundreds of millions of dollars. He is also representing the City in a separate dispute over hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenues generated by the Hollywood Park development, defending the City’s position that a voter-approved development agreement is invalid and does not require reimbursement to developers—an issue with significant implications across California.  In August 2025, Skip secured a victory defending Byron Allen and Allen Media Group in a high-profile First Amendment case arising from a failed $8.6 billion media acquisition, having secured dismissal of all claims with prejudice in federal court, with the matter now on appeal to the D.C. Circuit. Skip also oversees litigation for the County of Los Angeles, including fire-related cases stemming from the Palisades and Eaton/Altadena wildfires.
